Abandon darkness with classic lighting by ANGLEPOISE.
Adapted from the suspension mechanisms used for vehicles, the first ANGLEPOISE task lamp was created in 1932 by George Carwardine. Its signature multi-spring, adjustable tension arm allowed for greater flexibility and improved functionality to suit all types of activities.
The Type 75 collection by Sir Kenneth Grange reinterprets the classic features of the now discontinued Apex 90 desk lamp into a playful, contemporary design with clean, simple form and pared-down aesthetics. Since its introduction in 2004, it has rapidly become the bestselling product series within the ANGLEPOISE catalogue.
The Paul Smith Edition(s) combines the unmistakable form of an ANGLEPOISE favourite with the famed British designer's renowned mastery of joyful, whimsical colours. Each edition features a different thematic palette. Edition One's colours are evocative of the summer, while Edition Two uses the deep, rich hues of autumn. Edition Three takes its inspiration from the visual vocabulary of Dutch painter Mondrian’s De Stijl style of art, and in Edition Four, the colours of the moody British countryside dominate: deep, earthy burgundy, leaden grey, sky blue, dappled green and rich clay.
